Why do we exist?

The Mission

Loving and leading people to become faithful followers of Jesus.

This is what it means to be the people of God: to love Him with all our hearts, to love others as ourselves, and in the process to step into the very call of Jesus—to leverage our lives so that others might faithfully follow Him. This is the Great Commission lived out. It’s not a suggestion; it’s the assignment. And by His grace, this is what we will give ourselves to.

Loving People

We love people because Jesus first loved us (1 John 4:19). Not just the easy ones, not just the ones who’ve got it all together, but especially the hurting, the broken, and the ones everybody else walks past (Luke 10:33–34). That’s what Jesus did for us, met us in our mess, picked us up, and carried us home (Romans 15:7). So we do the same, pointing people to the only One who can heal their hurt and fill their hope (John 13:34–35).

Leading People

We believe every life has influence, so we use ours to point people to Jesus by sharing the gospel and making disciples.

Jesus came on mission to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10) and then handed that mission to us: “Go and make disciples of all nations…”

(Matthew 28:18–20). That means every believer is a full-time missionary where they live, work, and play.
Our goal is to equip every member of Heirloom to engage the Jesus mission, serving, giving, going, and discipling, so that people far from God can come to know Him, grow in Him, and be forever changed by Him.

becoming A Faithful Follower

At Heirloom, our heartbeat is that everyone would become a faithful follower of Jesus. Not just a fan who admires Him from a distance, not just a cultural Christian who shows up occasionally, but a disciple whose whole life is centered on Him.

To be a faithful follower means learning to love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. It means letting His Word shape you, His Spirit lead you, and His mission send you. It’s not about perfection,  it’s about persistence. Step by step, day by day, we grow in obedience, endurance, and love.

And here’s why this matters: one day we will all stand before Him. And our deepest desire is that every person in this church would hear the words Jesus promised to His disciples: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23). That’s the reward of a faithful follower, the joy of our Master forever.

At Heirloom Church, when we talk about becoming a faithful follower of Jesus, we’re talking about more than checking a box or showing up on Sundays. A faithful follower is marked by three things:

devoted

connected

engaged

Someone who walks with Jesus daily, growing in love and obedience to Him

Someone who doesn’t do life alone but shares it in deep, authentic relationships with God’s people

Someone who lives on mission, serving, giving, and going so others can know Christ

This is the picture of a disciple. Not perfect, but faithful. Not a fan of Jesus, but a follower who one day will hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).
